Wacom Driver Restart Tool
Every once in a while, it seems to come the point, where the wacom driver kicks out, or more specific: It doesnt recognize the connected (in this case here, an intuos) tablet at all. The pen only draws a big, fat line, and the wacom utilities only message the following:
Wacom Intuos Tablet ( Wacom Copyright © 2013-2014 Wacom ) |
"Tablet driver is not running."
"The tablet driver was not found."
"A supported tablet was not found."
Oder auf Deutsch:
"Tablet treiber läuft nicht"
"Der Tablett Treiber wurde nicht gefunden"
"Ein unterstütztes Tablett wurde im System nicht gefunden"
Getting any of these errors ?
Behold !
This small tool could fix your problem.
How does it work?
Option 1 : simply sends start/stop events to the wacom service,
letting it restart/reload its connectivity.
Option 2 : this option requires this tool being run with administrator rights.
(right mouse click -> "run as Administrator" )
Either if the wacom system service has been stopped or not,
this will stop and start it again.
Bottom label displays the status of the wacom service status. (WTabletServicePro)
It should be enough to press "Set Events" in Option 1 once or twice.
(tested so far on Windows 7 64 Bit, but it should work on Windows XP/Vista/7 32 + 64 Bit)
Note: requires .NET Framework 2.0
